Okay, here I am! I'm AUDITIONING! I hope I'm doing this right! I posted part of a Fanfiction story I wrote. Is that okay?
A New Love (Excerpt)
Chaud stared out the window of Naomi’s apartment, wondering what he had gotten himself into.
“Come on, eat it!” Naomi said, smiling. “I know it’s good!”
Chaud moved his gaze to the clump of an unknown substance on his plate. “What is it again?” he asked.
“Chocolate mousse!” Naomi said. “Eat!”
“Uh…” Chaud didn’t know how to tell her how gross it looked.
In fact, there was a lot that Chaud didn’t know how to tell her. First of all, he had met another girl. He had actually known this girl for a while, but he never paid any attention to her until now. Now he saw the way her eyes sparkled in the moonlight whenever they were out at night, paired together on a Net Saver mission. Now he saw the way her face glowed whenever she threw a smile his way. He had to go to her, to tell her he loved her, to pour his heart out into three simple words, three words that when put together meant the world.
“What’s wrong, Chaud?” Naomi asked.
“Uh…” Chaud hesitated. He had actually made the whole trip for one reason: to say goodbye. How would Naomi take it?
“Naomi,” he said. “Um, I want you to know that I loved you from the very beginning and all, but now, um, I, uh, I kinda—”
Naomi backed away, horrified. “Chaud, how could you? I loved you from the start, and I still love you now! How could you leave me?” Chaud tried to reply, but Naomi shouted, “No, shut up! Get out of my apartment! Leave! Out!”
And she slammed the door in his face.
“That went well,” Protoman commented.
