Tension

[Sarita]

Yimeka was silently munching on a tuft of grass. Her eyes were closed in delight. She had managed to snatch a delicious dandelion. She swallowe it and her eyes opened. In front of her was another creature. Her hooves pawed at the ground and she pointed her horn at it. "What do you want?!" she asked.

The great beast raised its head. It appeared to be a pegasus, but with bat wings and sharp canine teeth. He was pure obsidian from nose to hoof, with an orange mane and tail that reminded you of Halloween. Mwisho dipped his head to the other equine. "I don' want nothin', m'lady. Sorry if I intimidated ye. Comes from me hurrok side. I'm a nice guy, if ye get t' know me." He backed away a few steps and flared out his leathery wings, head lowered peacefully.

[Sarita]

Yimeka raised her head and her hoof stopped. She eyed him suspiciously before she realized that this creature would do her no harm. "Wow! I'm sorry! It's just, you know, being a unicorn and everything..."

Mwisho's ivories flashed in a grin as he began to trot cautiously toward her. "No, it's okay. Ya get used t' it." At this point as he said this he stopped and frowned. "Well, ye don' want t' 'ave anythin' wit' a quarter-bred 'urrok. I'm sure yer lookin' fer a purebred unicorn instead of a pegasus 'urrok!" He cantered away, pausing to lower himself to the ground as he gave a snort. His dragon-like wings folded comfortably against his body and he yawned, revealing unusually pointed teeth.

[Sarita]

Yimeka felt extremely guilty. "Wait!" she yelled running after him,"I don't care if you have hurrok! i'm like that to all creatures that I don't know! You just startled me, that's all!"

Mwisho gave a small smile, raising his head to look at her, audits pivoting forward to catch her words. "It's okay, once more. I appologize fer startlin' ye." He added even more quietly, "Yes, I startle ev'ry'un. I mean, look at me." He bared his fangs and spread out his bat wings again.

"Even t' 'urroks don' like me fer bein' part pegasus, and the pegasi don' like me fer bein' part 'urrok!" He smiled at Yimeka broadly.

"Guess it wouldn' matter to a pretty she-unicorn like yerself, ma'am." He dipped his head again. "And by t' way, what be yer dubbance, miss?"

[Sarita]

Yimeka frowned as she heard of Mwisho's hardships(and no, she doesn't know his name). "My name is Yimeko. and I think that any one who would judge you by your backgrounds, isn't worth any one's time."

The pegasus crossbreed dipped his head to her again, daggers beginning to paw the ground once or twice. His banner flicked and he whinnied, "Thank ye, Yimeka. Ah, such a lovely name. Suits a lovely lady such as yerself!" And here he gave a laugh. "T' name's Mwisho. Didn' like t' name much, after I 'eard what it meant. See, even if I don' look it, as I've alrea'y said, I'm a good guy. Not pure, no! It's jus' people assume I'm evil 'cause of my appearance." He trotted forward, giving a troubled smile.

[Sarita]

Yimeka was confused. "What does your name mean?"

The black hybrid sighed. "Mwisho's jus' a cute name fer deat'. Literally it means t' end, t' final seconds o' life. 'Course me da, who 'ad the 'urrok blood in 'im, named me t'at. Don' take it seriously, Yimeka." And then he looked fairly guilty, finally trying to smile. "I guess I'd better be off, t'en." Mwisho turned, then looked over his shoulder and winked at Yimeka. "I'll see ye sometime, m'lady."

[Sarita]

Yimeka stared at Mwisho for a few seconds thinking about how bad his life must have been. But only for a few seconds, as she then saw a dandelion and started munching it with great enthusiasm.
