Death galloped steadily across the wildflowers, eyes full of pain and confusion. The jet black equine, his mane and tail flickering like streams of light, lowered himself to the ground, snorting in a pant.
"Yimeka..." He hoarsely called the name of the unicorn he met before. "I can't go on, Yimeka. I'm dyin'... 'Elp me, please..." His face slid into the flowers, tears running down his long muzzle. "Where are ye... T' world...growin' dark... I can't see ye, Yimeka... Find me..." His eyes closed. Live or die, it would be up to her.

Fully healed, Zimu and Yuna flew over the plain, after departing from the White Owl's house. Zimu's fur was slowly turning back to pure-white, but where his horn was, there was nothing but bare skin. Then looking down, Yuna saw a black shape silhoetted against the green field. "Zimu! Look, down there!" she called to the black and white equine in front of her. He looked down, and gasped, "I think it's Mwisho!" Then he swooped down, defying gravity, to the Esorh Plain, the black streak of Yuna following. "Mwisho?" Yuna asked, uncertainly.

One red eye opened a crack to stare up at what looked like two shadows, one with a flash of white creeping along its full bodice. "Who... Zimu?!" he coughed, trying to raise his head but letting it slip again. "Yer dead... Then I'm dead... Yuna, I didn' see ye die... Wot 'appened?" Slowly he was regaining strength in his voice.
He lifted his head and scanned the fields, looking for Yimeka, but if he was surely in the lands of the dead there would be no point. "Wot 'appened... We're all...deceased, righ'? I mean, I saw ye die, Zimu. Huh? Why are ye changin' white? I'm confused..." He yawned and tried to stagger to his feet but he collapsed again, just from pure exhaustion as there were no obvious signs of injury except for a few fairly nasty scratches.

Zimu echanged an uneasy glance with Yuna then spoke, "We're not dead, I never died, nor did Yuna, we're perfectly alive, the White Owl helped us." The odd white and black beast attempted to explain, but as he did, his memories strayed back to that horrific battle, death had clawed inches away from him then, and yet, he survived, he then began to wonder what power on earth had let him live. Then a darker thought slipped into his reminesing, What if I really AM dead. He looked down at himself, to his eyes he looked far from alive, his pure white hair looked as though it was being engaulfed by the empty darkness of death. A single drop of blood fell from the patch of bare skin where his golden horn once stood although the wound had healed long before. The pegasus stared at the blood as it fell to the ground, glistening with morning sunlight. A tear escaped one of his clear blue eyes, it hit the drop of blood, shattering into a million drops while the blood remained unharmed until it crashed upon the grass in front of him. Zimu gasped as he began to understand, he wasn't exactly dead but nor was he alive, more like a living dead, part of him had died, yet part of him had not. One more drop of blood streaked down his face, landing on his hoof, impatiantly he shook his hoof, but the blood didn't shake off. Instead it seeped into his hoof, turning it blood-red for a second until it returned to it's normal gray hue. What could this mean? he wondered, knowing this must be a hint as well.
[don't ask.....I felt very creative...]
