Some ideas:
Sea Serpents- Dragons of the sea, snake-like but with fins, usually blue or green
Nymphs- Forest spirits, a lot like elves, immortal. They live in forests and love all living things
Manticore- A lion like creature with a tail that shoots arrows. Usually red
Dwarves- Small humans, males having long beards, usually live near mountains or in them
Chimera- A hybrid..thing.. with the head of a lion, a goat's body and a snake as a tail. The lion head breaths fire and the snake tail breaths lightning
Naga- A many armed creature with the torso and head of a human and instead of legs a snake-like body
Selkie- Creatures in the shape of a seal, females can shed their seal skins and go ashore as a beautiful woman. Males are responsible for storms at sea.
Hippocampus- A water dwelling creature that has the body of a horse and the hind-quarters of a fish.
Makara- Like a mermaid, but instead of a human torso and head they have a torso of an animal, any animal
Wyvern- Similar to a dragon, but only has two hind legs, it front legs being only wings. It is very snakish in appearence and is usually green
Harpies- Evil yet beautiful winged creatures that are much like birds.
Naiads- River nymphs
Nerieds- Sea nymphs
Fenrirs- Huge wolves of Norse mythology, gray and white with long fangs
Phantom Cats- Huge black or gray mythical wild cats. Said to be immortal and said to be nature spirits that love and heal nature
You don't need to accept all of these, they're just suggestions

I have a few thigs I dont agree with... Manticore- A manticore is a liong with the tail of a scorpion, and in some versions it also has bat like wings, in the same color as the tail. wich is usually red, the fur, and mane also have a redish tint. Dwarves- in some stories seen as children of earth, depending on the story they will be short and very broad, llike Gimli in LotR or they will be skinny creatures, with bent knees and backs, grey skin and large eyes, as in the Banned and the Banished. dwarves vary quite a bit between the stories, so I think we need to come to an agreement on that one =P Chimera- Monster with three heads- a goat, a lion, and a dragon (or serpent) for a tail. The Chimera supposedly breathed fire. Naga- a Naga has 4, or 8 arms, depending on the version [*sigh* human folklore] they will tippically have snakes for hair, and their gaze can turn you to stone... Wyvern- A wyvern is a smaller form of a dragon, lacking the fron legs, they can be any color in the scale spectrum, from black to whte, with red, blue, grey, yellow, and the other colors between... for a good image of a wyvern, try the mounts of the Nazgul, the fell beasts. Harpies- harpies have both arms, and feet of birds, instead of hiar they have feathers, and in some version also a beak. they are beautifull, unless angered, their skin will turn grey, and the feathers will stand erect, usally acompanied by high pitched screeching. Fenrirs- don't exist, it was only one wolf, Fenrisulfr. son of Loke by a giantess. Fenrir had two children, mothered by... well, his mother... they are Hati and Skoll. they chase the sun and the moon around the heaven. Fenrisulfr is currently tied on the island of Lyngvi, by a rope called Gleipnir, wich was made from The sound of a cat's footfall The beard of a woman The roots of a mountain The sinews of a bear The breath of a fish The spittle of a bird it is said that when apocalipse cmoes Fenrisulfr will break his chains, he will have grown so large that when he yawns his top jaw touches heaven, while his lower scblanks the earth. he will eat Odin, and will be killed by one of his children. Fenrisulfrs sons will catch up with the sun and the moon, and eat them. for more info on this fantastic creature go to shadowlight.gydja.com/fenrir.htmlokay, I'll shut up now =)

I know Fenrirs don't exist, but I like the real Fenrir and so...yeah, I thought I could just errr, bend mythology a bit... And as for the Nagas, I've never heard them haveing snakes for hair and turning you into stone, that's like medusa, nagas arn't anything like medusa, and Chimeras are not commanly described as having the head of a goat as well, usually only the body

I think that you can only be turned into a vampire if another one mixes their blood with you. Vampires don't have to have bat wings. [Tsumi's look like raven wings just...bigger...lol] New vampires must follow and listen to their master, they are bound to their creater.

Veelas- appear as beautiful woman. When angered, they turn into horrid creatures with the beak of a bird and are able to throw fire.

*shrugs* this stuff allways differ, tis is how I picture them =P and with the Naga, I know it's alot like medusa, but you know medusa is snake lady o.o and the turning to stone is debatable... actually all of it is debateble, seeing they don't really exist so we can do whatever we wnat to them, and no one can stop us... except perhaps the veelas, are they thought up by J.K? returning to the Naga, I could be confusing the 4 or more arms with another creature.... but again, as long as we all agree we can do whatever we want =D

oh, and about Fenrir, there is a thing called Fimbulwinter, following is a boring description, skipping it is adviced=P
In Norse mythology and Ásatrú (according to the Eddas), Fimbulwinter is the immediate prelude to the end of the world, Ragnarok. Fimbulwinter is three successive winters without any intervening summer. During this time, there will be innumerable wars and brothers will kill brothers.
The original spelling of this word in the Old Norse language is Fimbulvintr (Denmark and Sweden) or Fimbulvetr (Iceland and Norway), fimbul meaning "the great/big" so the correct interpretation of the word is "the great winter".
There have been several popular speculations about whether this particular piece of mythology has a connection to the climate change that occurred in the Nordic countries at the end of the Nordic Bronze Age. Before this climate change, the Nordic countries were considerably warmer.
In Sweden, Norway and other Nordic countries, the term fimbulwinter may also casually be used to refer to any unusually cold and harsh winter with lots of snow.
The Old English cognate is fifel meaning "Giant, (Sea) Monster", thereby retaining the root sense of "Large, Vast in Extent". Thus, in both the Old Norse fimbul and Old English fifel we see the root word for the number "five". Now, in Greek, the word for five is "penta", and it gives us the Greek prefix "pan-" meaning "All Encompassing", from the sense of "All Five Fingers on One Hand" being a metaphor for "everything" (The Teaching Company lecture series on Linguistics). Therefore, it seems likely that the Germanic "fimbul-" is the exact cognate of the Greek "pan-", both meaning "Everything, All Inclusive". The fimbulwinter, then, was a winter that encompassed everything -- to wit, all lands in Scandinavia and Finland and, perhaps, the British Isles, all the lands the folk of the Nordic Bronze Age knew of.
---------------- end of boring description.
so I was thinking, Fimbulwolves =D meaning large wolves who knows, we might create a whole new realm of creatures with this, I claim Fimbulkitty XD "here pooky" "no pooky, dont crush the houses" "bad pookie!"
I had chocolate...

uh huh...I don't really want to get into this...but...I think that nothing should be too powerful. Like somehting can't have the power of nature or somehting, because that would mean that they can control almost everything...too powerful...Things have to have they're weaknesses. For humans, that weakness is death, as is many creatures on this site. Nothing should br completely immortal. They should be ABLE to die. Everyone has a different opinion on vampires, all I have to say about it is, don't make them too powerful. I also have an opinion that those that get bitten by them are weaker than those that are born one. But that's just my opinion. As for veeleas, no, J.K. Rowling didn't make them up.There is a story in mytholigy about veelas. Only one that I've heard of...but it's old enough that there's noway that J.K. could have made them up.
Now...my opinion on your suggestions:
Sea serphents: as long as you play them, I'm ok with it. Don't just have me add it...just to add it...
Nymphs: Thanks for suggesting them!! I'll add them right away!!
Manticore:No...sorry...but it's too inhuman and powerful...
dwarves: I feel the same way as I feel for sea serphents...
Chimera:If you make it have weaknesses, then it's accepted.
Naga: If you make a good description for the first one, then I'll accept it, I don't know what ti is so...
Selkie: I feel the same about it as I do dwarves...
Hippocampus: I feel the same about it as I do Selkies..
Makara: No...I don't know why...but no...
Wyvern: No...too similar to dragons...
Harpies: yes...I'll add it...
Fenrir: If you can totally explain how you twisted mythology and what fenrirs aere like...then sure...
Phantom Cats: If you make it have weakneses..then sure..
Naiads and Nerieds are just different versions of nymphs, so... yeah...
